Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 67-year-old man reported missing from Beerwah. Garry Rasmussen was last seen by family yesterday at a Beerwah address but has not been seen since. Concerns are held for Gary's welfare as he suffers from a medical condition. He is described as 185cm tall, Caucasian with a slim build, blonde hair, green eyes and is believed to be traveling in a white Mazda 323 hatch with Qld registration 460IEX. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Gary is asked to contact police.

Ala Eh Knit Inc., a subsidiary of listed holding company AbaCore Capital Holdings Inc. and another listed firm, Greenergy Holdings Inc., have abandoned plans to construct a logistics center and food terminal in Batangas City. In separate disclosures on Friday, AbaCore and Greenergy announced they 'mutually agreed' to terminate their memorandum of agreement to develop and operate the establishment within a three-hectare property in Barangay Sta. Rita effective immediately. Both parties did not disclose the reason behind the cessation of their joint venture announced in March 2021.

MANILA  -Some analysts have made a definite call on a 0.25-percentage point hike in the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) policy rate by Nov. 16 or even earlier after yet another higher-than-expected uptick of the inflation readout, which reached 6.1 percent in September. BofA Securities, working with Philippine Equity Partners, said in a commentary they penciled in an increase to 6.5 percent as 'there is not much relief' seen this month as far as inflation goes, considering the rise in jeepney fares.
