Trump's admiration for Russian President Vladimir Putin is an open secret. He has praised Putin on numerous occasions in the past and claims to have a close relationship with the Russian president. On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Trump's claims that he would end the war between Russia and Ukraine within 24 hours, adding that as US President he had not done so.
