The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa placed in the top 2.5% out of more than 20,000 universities worldwide in the Global 2000 list by the Center for World University Rankings released on May 15. The flagship campus of the 10-campus UH System placed No . 505 out of 20,531 universities ranked. In the U.S. rankings, UH Mānoa came in No . 137. According to the Center for World University Rankings, objective indicators were used for its four key pillars in the methodology (education, employability, faculty and research) with no reliance on surveys and university data submissions.
