Sunraysia football and netball league umpire manager Shane Garraway said the numbers at umpires training had been low and they were looking for 10-15 field umpires to fill the gap.He said umpires played a significant role in community football with 30 field umpires, 24 goal umpires and 48 boundary umpires required each week.
