Table Tennis Mallee Bearings skipper Wayne Carmichael was in fine form during round 3 winning three singles as well as taking part in both doubles victories. CLOSE matches were the feature of round three of the Sunraysia Table Tennis Association. Tankard Dental, with a 6-5 win over Regional Taxation Services, retained top position on the ladder by percentage. Victory came without the reliance on skipper Thahn Nguyen, who was defeated twice, however teammates Rohan Reimers and Paul Kealley were outstanding, winning two singles each.

News A digital rendering of the proposed adventure playground originally slated for Nowingi Place. FACING enormous cuts to insurance coverage after last summer's Murray River flood, the Mildura Council will this week be asked to change its plans to build an adventure playground at Nowingi Place and instead use a site above flood level at Jaycee Park. Council staff will recommend the change at Thursday council meeting, where councillors will hear that the municipality faces cuts to insurance coverage of up to 90 per cent following the flood and that it has been left little option other than to consider a new location.
