A MILDURA retiree has raised more than $1000 through a humble garage sale to help support Angel Flight, a charity that saved the life of his friend. When Toby Howard's kids moved out of home, he found his garage was full and decided it was time to clear the clutter. He also approached neighbours to ask whether they had goods they were happy to donate. "I wound up with a driveway full of stuff, beautiful fridges, sewing machines, tables, chairs and things that people had but didn't use anymore – it was fantastic," he said.
