FACING enormous cuts to insurance coverage after last summer's Murray River flood, the Mildura Council will this week be asked to change its plans to build an adventure playground at Nowingi Place and instead use a site above flood level at Jaycee Park. Council staff will recommend the change at Thursday council meeting, where councillors will hear that the municipality faces cuts to insurance coverage of up to 90 per cent following the flood and that it has been left little option other than to consider a new location.
