PASIR PUTEH: The Agriculture and Food Security Ministry has given an assurance that the hot weather is not affecting output from the farming and fishing sectors. Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, however, said the ministry would continue to monitor the situation. "So far, we have not received any report of insufficient food supplies," said the minister. "We will monitor the situation from time to time as the hot weather is expected to last until August. "I advise farmers, fishermen and breeders to take precautionary measures when they go out to work," he said after the Jalinan Mesra Madani programme with fishermen here today.
