KUALA LUMPUR: While Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has voiced his grave concern for the adverse impacts of climate change, Malaysia must ensure its very own National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) materialises and executes well. Alliance For A Safe Community chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said the NETR encompassed ambitious plans tackling the balance between environmental impact, commercial feasibility and social inclusion. He said it also delves into the financial mechanisms required to make this transition viable for businesses, emphasising the need for a mix of debt and equity financing.
