KUALA LUMPUR (June 12): Bermaz Auto Bhd's net profit grew 27.84% to RM100.62 million for the fourth quarter ended April 30, 2023 (4QFY2023), from RM78.7 million a year earlier, on the back of higher revenue. Earnings per share increased to 8.63 sen from 6.77 sen, the automaker showed in a bourse filing. Quarterly revenue rose 19.51% to RM1.07 billion from RM897.36 million, mainly due to the final rush to register the balance unfulfilled back orders (made prior to June 30, 2022) in February and March, 2023 for the sales tax exemption incentives.
