(VOVWORLD) - 350 Vietnamese and international businesses are expected to participate in the Vietnam International Tourism Mart – VITM Da Nang in December. (Photo: Van Dung/VNA) The Vietnam Society of Travel Agents and the Da Nang Tourism Department told a press conference on Saturday that they expect to welcome about 30,000 visitors at the event to be held from December 9-11. About 60 to 80 travel agents from the US, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, India, and Western European and Southeast Asian countries are scheduled to attend the Mart and activities to survey tourism destinations in Vietnam.

The South Korean Navy took part in Japan's international fleet review on Sunday for the first time since 2015 after relations reached freezing point."We decided to participate in the fleet review in Japan in view of the growing North Korean nuclear missile threat," the Navy said.It was held in Sagami Bay off Kanagawa Prefecture with some 14 countries participating including Australia, Canada, France, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Thailand and the U.S.South Korea sent the 11,000-ton naval vessel Soyang.

AKWESASNE, Quebec — Six bodies that police recovered on Thursday in a marshy area of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec came from two families seeking clandestine entry into the U.S., police said Friday, adding that an infant was still missing. 'The six individuals are believed to be from two families, one of Romanian descent and the other believed to be citizens of India,' Lee-Ann O'Brien, deputy chief of Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service, told a news conference. 'Police believe one infant from the Romanian family has not been located and we'll continue searching.

NEW DELHI - India plans to hold bilateral free trade talks with the United Kingdom, the European Union and Canada and discuss bilateral trade issues with the Russian delegation on the sidelines of a G20 meeting next week, a top trade official said on Friday. The G20 trade ministers are likely to discuss trade and World Trade Organisation reforms in their meeting, trade secretary Sunil Barthwal also told reporters. TAIPEI — A U.S. and a Canadian warship sailed through the Taiwan Strait on Saturday, the U.S. Navy said, marking the second such joint mission since June and coinciding with the leaders of both countries attending the G20 summit in India.
