The building, known as Wisma Rapid, comprises 39 units of commercial lots with a basement car park level, the company said in a bourse filing. Rapid Synergy expects to recognise a gain of RM20.07 million from the disposal of the land measuring 1,338 square metres to Segi Permai Sdn Bhd. The group said it has earmarked RM22 million of the sale consideration for the redemption of a loan from UOB Bank.

(Oct 5): Malaysian bonds beat all their regional peers last quarter, as rising oil prices bolstered the government's coffers. The expected rollback of oil subsidies in next week's budget announcement may provide another updraft. Bonds of the oil-exporting nation returned a relatively small loss of 0.7% in the three months through September, amid a torrid period for global debt markets. KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is on the right track en route to limiting the temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels as agreed under the Paris Agreement in 2015. TOKYO : Japan issued a tsunami advisory for some coastal regions early Monday (Oct 9) following a series of shallow quakes in the Izu islands in the Pacific Ocean but it was later lifted after no damage was reported from the minor waves generated. SEOUL Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will be allowed to supply US chip equipment to their China factories indefinitely without separate US approvals, South Korea's presidential office and the companies said on Monday. BERLIN Investor morale in the euro zone fell less than expected at the start of October, with Germany's economic weakness continuing to drag on the region but expectations rising slightly, a survey showed on Monday. Sentix's index for the euro zone declined to -21.9 points in October from -21.5 in September, better than the -22.8 estimated in a Reuters poll of analysts.
