Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, has revealed that the all-new Ford Ranger Raptor will be officially launched on 7 October 2022. Polis DiRaja Malaysia / Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM / RMP) gave recognition to 28 Petron Malaysia dealers for their contributions to the Go-To Safety Point (GTSP) programme. As a sign of appreciation for their effort, these dealers received commendation letters for providing early assistance to individuals who were able to  seek help from Petron service stations. In 2020 and 2021, most of the GTSP incidents recorded were related to medical and safety emergencies. The GTSP Programme is an initiative led by PDRM under the government's 'United Against Crime' national programme to ensure the safety and security of local communities.

Viper Niza Racing, a Malaysian owned and based team, has entered into a partnership with Aston Martin Racing Asia to further advance its racing endeavours. DHL Express Malaysia has officially added 6 electric vans to its delivery fleet. These 6 units will be deployed in early October for last-mile delivery in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. By 2023, DHL Express is expected to grow its commercial EV fleet to 61 vans, some of which will be allocated to market centres in other states. In the longer term, DHL Express is looking to build a delivery fleet that is sustainable and carbon neutral. UMW Toyota Motor had a relatively good year in 2022, ending it on a positive note. In the past 12 months, it had delivered 101,035 vehicles made up of 100,042 from Toyota and 993 from Lexus. This sales total puts it as the leading non-national brand in Malaysia. Last year's sales tally was a 40% increase over 2021's total of 72,394 vehicles (Toyota and Lexus) sold, despite issues faced with the supply chain which affected production and delivery. Over the past 10 months, PROTON recorded cumulative sales of 115,366 vehicles, giving the national car maker its best sales result since 2014. With this figure, at an 8-year high, PROTON enters the final quarter of 2022 on a positive note as it expects to fare well in the remaining months.
