The City of Hobart is calling on young artists to submit artworks exploring the theme of a new 'Epoch.' Selected works will be displayed at locations across the Hobart CBD as part of Hobart Current: Epoch, an exciting biennial celebration of contemporary art taking place from 17 November 2023 to 11 February 2024. Hobart Creative City Portfolio Chair Cr John Kelly said Hobart Current was a biennial exhibition run by the City of Hobart in partnership with the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, and directed by new Dark Mofo artistic Director, Chris Twite.
