For the longest time, I have repeatedly espoused for the Department of Education (DepEd) to fully complement the home in inculcating the sanctity of marriage and the molding of family values.Evolution of family values (respect, fairness, compassion, love, responsibility, etc.) takes time and consistency in their implementation by the parents/grandparents amongst the children. For continuity toward institutionalization, DepEd is expected to complement the primarily role of the family/home in the articulation of the said family values (via good manners and right conduct).
