INQUIRER.net FILES CEBU CITY — A village treasurer in Leyte town was killed while his companion was wounded when unidentified gunmen fired at them in Barangay Cahigan in the municipality of Villaba on Thursday afternoon. Mateo Rasonable, 41, treasurer of Barangay Mataloto in Leyte town, and his companion Gelyn Gulane, 86, were on board a motorcycle when the assailants attacked them, said Villaba Police Station Chief Major Edwin Tolibas. Gulane managed to run despite having gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body.
