On Thursday, 24 August 2023 the dancers of the Star Garden topless bar in North Hollywood returned to their place of work for the first time in almost a year and a half after series of problems and security issues led the dancers to collectively leave the club. After club security had repeatedly failed to protect the dancers from both drunk patrons and sexual harassment and management offered very few benefits, including a lack of payment and proper contracts, the decision was made, to go on strike.
