Proposed plans to transform Surfers Paradise which include more greenery and beachside pavilions have been unveiled as a part of a bid to recreate Cavill Mall and Avenue as a world class visitor precinct. The City is seeking feedback from the public about the concept designs to revitalise Surfers Paradise's Cavill Mall, Cavill Avenue and The Esplanade. "We listened when the community said work needed to be done to ensure Surfers Paradise has space for families, is safe, is more pedestrian friendly, has more seating, has meeting places, and has more shade and trees," Mayor Tom Tate said.
