Rock'n'roll icon  Tina Turner has died at 83 after a long illness .   Her road to fame was a rocky one. She born Anna Mae Bullock in Tennessee and eventually became a global star as the lead singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue with her husband Ike before launching a successful career as a solo performer.   She and Ike, who was physically abusive throughout their relationship, disbanded in 1976, and in the 1980s after leaving him, Turner launched her remarkable comeback with the 1984 multi-platinum album Private Dancer, including the hit What's Love Got to Do with It, The song won a Grammy for Record of the Year and became her first and only number one song on the Billboard Hot 100.
