The City of Launceston will this weekend advertise a tender to undertake repair and refurbishment works on two North Esk River pontoons. The project will involve refurbishment of both the Home Point pontoon and the Sea Scout pontoon, the latter having sustained significant damage in last October's flood event. The existing timber decking on the Home Point pontoon will be replaced with composite plastic decking, bringing it to a similar standard as the Sea Scout Pontoon which underwent a decking upgrade in 2017.
