April 14, 2023 SOME CONCERNED citizens support the House Bill which called for delegates to the Constitutional Convention (Con Con) which aims to make changes to the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines.The oppositors to the reform movement say the present Constitution has enough provisions to safeguard our rights and freedoms. It only takes consistent political will to enforce our laws to the letter to get the objective.The proponents of charter change will probably touch on the economic provisions of the fundamental law to keep our existing laws on economy in sync with the modern times and needs.
