KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 (Bernama) -- The Islamic capital market (ICM) remains a key component of the Malaysian capital market, contributing 64.4 per cent to its total size as at December 2022, said the Securities Commission (SC). The ICM's size increased to RM2.322 trillion as at end-2022 from RM2.309 trillion as at end-2021, it said in its Annual Report 2022 released today. This comprised the total market capitalisation of Shariah-compliant securities of RM1.139 trillion and total sukuk outstanding amounting to RM1.
