Screen industries around the world are under significant scrutiny about issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion, both on screen and behind the scenes. In April, Screen Australia launched Seeing Ourselves 2: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Australian TV , a much-awaited follow up to the landmark 2016 report on the diversity of Australian television. The original Seeing Ourselves report found that most Australians did not see themselves on television. The follow-up comes at a significant time in Australian cultural and political history, published just two months after the release of the federal government's National Cultural Policy, Revive: A place for every story, a story for every place .
