Born from an exceptional idea in 2022, the Youth Recognition Awards will be held on Thursday 7 September. Join us to celebrate exceptional young people across the Mornington Peninsula, hosted by our very own Mornington Peninsula Youth Services (MPYS). The call for nominations went out across the Peninsula – to families, schools, sport clubs, and community groups. We received a record number of nominations, with "Unsung Hero" being the most popular category! Dreamed up by our Youth Advisory Committee, a group of young leaders aged 12-25, the Youth Recognition Awards recognises the many young people who give back to their communities, whether through volunteering, environmental stewardship, leadership, or supporting mental health and wellbeing.
