The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has welcomed the announcement of Minister Guy Barnett as Tasmania's new Minister for Health. Minister Barnett was named as the new Health Minister when Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff announced his new Cabinet early this week, after relinquishing the role himself to focus on "driving economic growth". RACGP Tasmania Chair Dr Tim Jackson welcomed the new Health Minister. "I want to congratulate our new Health Minister Guy Barnett on his appointment, and I'm looking forward to meeting with him soon," he said.
