Premier and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games The Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk met with His Excellency Mr Hua Yuan, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, and delegation from the Shanghai Municipal Government this month– renewing a Sister State Agreement between Queensland and Shanghai. Queensland has a long-standing relationship with China, an important trading partner for the State. This partnership is underpinned by two State level agreements with Shanghai (Sister-State), first signed in 1989, and Guangdong (Friendship), signed in 2008.
