Virginia Praesel, 87, of Rockdale passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at her home in Rockdale. A funera l service will be held at 11 a. m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Forest Grove Christian Church in the Forest Grove community. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. She was born on Dec. 24, 1934, to Frank Edward and Merle Willene (Neely) McKinney in Smiley. She graduated from Smiley High School. On June 28, 1957, she married A.G. Gus 'Sonny' Praesel in Cuero.
