Detectives from Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Investigation Unit have charged a 48-year-old man with murder, in relation to the death of Tomislav Nemes at Benowa. Police located Mr Nemes' remains in an Edinburgh Street home during a welfare check on April 17. A crime scene was declared, and Operation Victor Countryside established to investigate the circumstances of his death. Following extensive investigations, a 48-year-old man was yesterday, August 22, taken into custody at Southport and charged with one count of murder.
