MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday vowed justice for the two police officers who were killed and the four others wounded in a Wednesday night ambush in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur. The PNP said it would 'do everything within its power and authority to serve the ends of justice' for the deaths of Patrolman Saipoden Shiek Macacuna and Patrolman Bryan Polayagan. It likewise sought justice for the attempt on the lives of Patrolman Arjie Pabinguit, Patrolman Abdulgafor Alib, Police Staff Sergeant Benjie de los Reyes, and Police Chief Master Sergeant Rey Vincent Gertos.
