MANILA  -The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza) has signed a partnership agreement with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) for the establishment of Knowledge, Innovation, Science and Technology (KIST) parks in the country, a move seen benefitting local startups, as well as small and medium enterprises. During the signing ceremony on Thursday at the DOST office in Taguig, Peza Director General Tereso O. Panga said the government wants to fortify the manufacturing sector by creating an enabling environment for research and development (R&D), as well as for innovation.
