Upgrades to a section of Gregory Street have improved the usability and safety for motorists and cyclists. Townsville City Council secured $267,000 in funding through the Federal Government's Black Spot program to install concrete medians at the intersection of Paxton and Gregory Streets, change parking and line mark dedicated bike lanes on Gregory Street between Stanley and Eyre Street. Infrastructure Services Committee chairperson Kurt Rehbein said the road was one of the most used in the city.
