(Philippine Daily Inquirer) MANILA, Philippines — The Monetary Board (MB), which exercises the powers and functions of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), is taking in two new members. Malacañang on Saturday announced the appointment of National Treasurer Rosalia De Leon and economist Romeo Bernardo, filling in two of three vacant seats at the MB. The central bank's highest policymaking body recently shed three members whose terms have lapsed — MB chair and BSP Governor Felipe Medalla, Peter Favila, and Antonio Abacan Jr.
