Simin Williams Dr Mike Joy certainly emphasised that while wind and the sun's energy are unlimited, the equipment to capture these renewable sources of energy are fossil-fuel dependent and certainly not renewable by any stretch of the imagination. He also commented on the fallacy of EVs and incentivising their purchase. He left the audience in no doubt about the 'green-washing' nature of the ETS (Emissions Trading Scheme) and planting billions of trees to 'decarbonise', or giving taxpayers' money to multinationals and private businesses to reduce their emissions! None of these can be labelled as Green-solutions and at best they just export pollution to other parts of the planet, usually the poorer countries.
