KORONADAL CITY, Sultan Kudarat — Two unidentified gunmen shot dead an off-duty officer inside a roadside carenderia in Barangay Fatima, General Santos City on Thursday night. General Santos City police director Col. Jomar Alexis Yap strongly condemned the murder of Cpl. Razul Alongan, 48, an intelligence officer of Police Station 5. He said two men posed as customers of the roadside carenderia at about 10:30 p.m. and shot Alongan in the head without provocation. 'The suspects fled on board a Honda Wave motorcycle towards the direction of Purok Placida, Barangay Calumpang,' Yap said, adding that a manhunt operation is continuing.
