Police are appealing for information, as part of Missing Persons Week, into the disappearance of Rhyanwen Horne nee McConnochie, more than 48 years ago. Rhyanwen Horne nee McConnochie was last seen at the Shortland Clinic, now demolished, on the corner of Ordnance and Watt Street, Newcastle, about 8.15pm on Saturday 1 February 1975. When she could not be located, officers attached to Newcastle City Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts. Rhyanwen was 24 years old when she was reported missing.
