St. Scholastica made the statement on Thursday, April 13, as it refuted claims that the 16-year-old student 'was in danger while within the vicinity of the school.' 'This was not the case. She left [on] her own accord, and we want to assure everyone that the safety and well-being of our students are of utmost importance to us,' it said in a Facebook post.
