LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—The body of a 22-year-old man who was reported missing after he went for a swim in Pagudpud town, Ilocos Norte province was found on Thursday (March 2), authorities said. In a report, authorities identified the victim as Ramon Datiles Jr. from Biñan town, Laguna province. An initial investigation showed that Datiles went missing on Monday after he and seven others went to swim at a beach in Barangay Saud. A joint search and rescue operation was immediately conducted by the Pagudpud local police, Philippine Marines, Philippine Coast Guard, and Pagudpud disaster risk reduction and management office.
