MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday said the national government is studying how to incentivize local government units (LGUs) in the fight against malnutrition. He issued the remark during the launch of the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP), which is a collaborative effort between the Philippine government and the World Bank to improve the nutritional status of Filipinos. Marcos said the PMNP aims to provide primary health care support and nutrition services, as well as access to clean water and sanitation, technical information, training, and financing to LGUs in need of intervention to address malnutrition.
