A man has been charged over his alleged role following the death of a man at Balmain earlier this year. About 3.40pm on Saturday 29 July 2023, emergency services were called to Donnelly Street, following reports of an assault. On arrival, officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command located a 29-year-old man suffering significant injuries to his head and torso. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he died a short time later.
