Following investigation into a series of events near Cervantes in the early hours of Tuesday 26 September 2023, Homicide Squad detectives have overnight charged a 19-year- old Hamilton Hill man with a number of serious offences. It will be alleged the charged man crashed his Mitsubishi Pajero on Indian Ocean Drive near the Cervantes Road turnoff. The 38-year-old male victim was driving a red SUV along Indian Ocean Drive when he came across the accused. It will be alleged an incident occurred between the two which resulted in the victim's death.
