Korea's inflation fell below 3 percent in June and July, but torrential downpour, extreme heat waves and typhoons have pushed up the price of vegetables, fruits and other agricultural products. Korea experienced around 20 days of heat wave this year, far above the average 10.5 days recorded between 1991 and 2020, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration.
