SAN ANTONIO – Boerne may not have won a state championship last year, but they played with a 'heart of a champion,' according to Coach Che Hendrix, on Friday. The Greyhounds improved to 2-1, defeating Antonian Prep in an arm-pincher, 42-35 at Antonian Prep Stadium. The Greyhounds scored on a keeper at the 1:06 mark in the fourth quarter to give themselves a one-score advantage. Antonian attempted to send the game into overtime with a balanced offensive attack, but turned it over on downs following an incomplete pass from quarterback Jayce Toscano to Jaden Villarreal.
