Xu Ming, a former senior official overseeing China's grain industry and a long-time subordinate of disgraced Politburo member Bo Xilai, received a 15-year jail sentence for taking more than 52 million yuan ($7.3 million) in bribes. A court in Xiamen, Fujian Province, announced the sentencing on Tuesday, more than five months after the first hearing on the case. Xu, 65, was also fined 4.1 million yuan and had all his illegal assets confiscated, according to the court.
