Former Deputy Speaker Deogracias 'DV' Savellano of Ilocos Sur FILE PHOTO President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed former lawmaker and fellow Ilocano Deogracias Victor Savellano as undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture, the Presidential Communications Office announced on Friday. Savellano, 63, lost against Ronald Singson, the son of Narvacan Mayor Luis 'Chavit' Singson, in the 2022 Ilocos Sur congressional race. Savellano, who married actress Dina Bonnevie in 2012, served as an Ilocos Sur representative from 2016 to 2022 and became a House deputy speaker from 2019 until last year.
