Liu Lixian, a veteran anti-graft official who headed the disciplinary task force at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), became a target of investigation in an intensifying financial sector corruption crackdown. Liu, secretary of ICBC's discipline inspection commission, turned himself in and is under investigation on suspicion of severe violation of law and discipline, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), China's top anti-graft body, said Friday in a statement. State-owned ICBC is the world's largest bank by assets.
