A motorcycle rider has died following a crash in Sydney's north-west overnight. Just before 11pm (Friday 4 August 2023), emergency services were called to the intersection of New Line Road and Purchase Road, Cherrybrook, after reports a Honda motorcycle and Nissan Navara had collided. The rider, a man believed to be aged in his 20s, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified. The driver, a 20-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory testing. He was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station before being released pending further investigation.
