Weldon Noel Clark, 77, of Rockdale died Jan. 24, 2023. A visitation will be held on from 6 to 8 p.m. W e d n e s day, Feb. 1, at Providence- Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Knobbs Springs Baptist Church in McDade. Interment will follow at Knobbs Springs Cemetery. Mr. Clark was born Dec. 20, 1945, in Elgin to Wallace and Mary (Wolf) Clark. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a cook. He then went to work as a millwright. He stepped away from millwrighting to build race cars, but soon went back to it working for the Millwright Local 1421 based out of Arlington, from which he retired.
