Roger Jaensch, Minister for Parks On World Ranger Day (July 31), we recognise our 90 Tasmanian rangers and all Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service staff who maintain the natural and cultural values of our unique environment. Minister for Parks, Roger Jaensch, said Tasmania's rangers do an incredible job of protecting our State's 19 national parks, three World Heritage Areas, and over 800 reserves. "Rangers also play an important role in keeping the public safe and educating our visitors on the values of Tasmania's extensive reserve estate," Minister Jaensch said.
