On Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, Carole Edith Simank, loving sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 83. Carole, lovingly known as 'MamaCo' or 'CoCo' was born on Oct. 26, 1939, in Temple to parents Ike and Frances (Stephens) Camp. She grew up on a farm in San Gabriel and graduated from Thorndale High School, where she met the love of her life, Dennis Ray Simank. After attending the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, she eloped with Dennis on June 29, 1957, in Mexico.
