KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Berjaya Food Bhd's (BFood) net profit slipped to RM103.41 million for the financial year ended June 30, 2023 (FY2023) from RM124.78 million a year earlier. However, revenue for the period increased to RM1.12 billion from RM997.76 million previously, mainly due to the aggressive marketing campaigns and effective promotion strategies in the current financial year under review, as well as the additional stores operating in Malaysia. Higher operating costs resulting from inflationary pressures and the unfavourable foreign exchange rate against the US dollar affected its bottomline, a filing with Bursa Malaysia said today.
